We would like to thank all members of staff, patients and friends who kindly let us photograph them.      Charity No. 235757

Our charity depends on donations to enable us to continue our work for Tiverton Hospital.  People choose to donate for many reasons.  It may be in appreciation of the care a relative or friend has received there.  Every gift, however small, helps us to provide care for someone else in the future.

If you would like to support our work by making a donation there are a few options:

Donations by cash or cheque ensure every penny goes towards our charity.

Our expenses are practically nil as we have so much goodwill from our local community and members.

Cheques should be made payable to’ Tiverton Hospital League of Friends’

and this should be sent directly to

The Treasurer

If you are a taxpayer you may be aware of Gift Aid, which by signing the necessary declaration means you increase your donation to the charity by 25p in the pound.

When drafting your will, you may also like to consider leaving a legacy to us.  A charity such as ours could greatly benefit in the future by such a gift, allowing us to continue our good work within the locality.

Similarly, you or your family may wish to make a donation in lieu of flowers in memory of a loved one, which can provide a lasting tribute.

Finally, if you earn a salary, or if your pension is paid via PAYE and your employer runs a 'Give As You Earn' scheme, this is a simple way to make regular payments to our charity.  This payroll giving scheme means money is taken from your pre-tax salary and the amount that would normally go to the taxman goes to the charity instead.  You choose how much you wish to give each month and it is taken from your wages.  Therefore if you are a taxpayer, a donation to our charity of £5 would only cost you £4.  You are not then paying tax on any donation you make and we can count on a regular amount each month allowing us to make long term plans. If however this scheme is not available to you, you may like to consider setting up a regular monthly or annual standing order to the League of Friends.  Even a small monthly amount can make a big difference to our charity funds and the work that we do.
